Patient Resources

Starting psychiatric care can feel like a big step. At Nuance Psychiatric Services, we make the process as simple and straightforward as possible.

Before Your First Appointment

Mental health challenges can affect every part of your life, but the right care can help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Explore the conditions we treat below to learn more about how our team can help.

Who We Treat

We provide psychiatric care for adults age 18 and older, treating a wide range of mental health conditions and levels of severity.

Finding the Right Fit

We want you to feel confident that Nuance is the right practice for your needs. Reach out to our team to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and determine whether our approach is a good fit before scheduling.

Your First Appointment

What to Expect

Every new patient begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation. Your psychiatrist will take the time to understand your mental and physical health, symptoms, history, and overall well-being before developing an individualized treatment plan.

Medication may not always be prescribed during the initial appointment. Depending on your evaluation and needs, medication recommendations may be discussed at a follow-up visit.

Before Your Appointment

Once your appointment is scheduled, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your appointment details and a link to our patient portal. Please log in before your first visit and complete the required intake forms so your psychiatrist can review your information in advance.

Managing Your Appointments

Need to Reschedule or Cancel?

If you need to change or cancel an appointment, please contact us by phone, email, or through your patient portal. We ask that cancellations be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged for the appointment.

Ongoing Care

Your care doesn’t end after your initial evaluation. Follow-up appointments allow your psychiatrist to monitor your progress, discuss how treatment is working, make adjustments when needed, and continue building a treatment plan around your needs.

Insurance & Payment

We Accept Most Major Insurance Plans

Nuance Psychiatric Services is in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Carelon, Independence Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Optum. If you have another insurance plan, self-pay options are available, and we can provide a superbill and billing codes that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
